Most Haunted Live Halloween 2015 - Exposed!

So they decided to do another Most Haunted Live, unfortunately UKTV (Really) refused to give them any kind of use-able budget, so they had no choice but to get rid of any live crowd or studio setting and do it low key at someones house instead! Also I am guessing Sky TV Own the rights to the original Most Haunted Live format, like they do the normal Most Haunted format, so whether they wanted to do a live show in a studio with an audience they couldn't anyway.

Well, usually I would watch the show and expose it, but now we have this magical thing called Twitter, which was actually more interesting than watching the show.
The reason was it was 99% people taking the piss.

And what also made my job easier was that people were spotting the moments of fakery, and posting videos and links on Twitter.

A couple of great examples was Karl appearing to have the knife concealed in his sleeve during the seance.

Jason akamrdaddy on Youtube:
"Watch him take the knife out off his trousers and throws it on the bed...u can clearly see him huntch over as he takes the knife out and then jerk his arm quickly in a throwing action....plus he had to be the first one in there....wonder why...look at the body language after he did it....arms out hands open...look I haven't got anything....lol...its that or a ghost did it...what's more believable"

(Please note, we incorrectly had a shot of Glen with what looked like the knife in his pocket, we mistakenly attributed this to being Karl, as the head was cut off.  I doubt Glen was involved in any fakery)

One of the most blatant cheats of the night, was when Karl got pulled UP the stairs by mysterious forces! Or Stuart as we like to call him. Unfortunately he didn't manage to hide the rope that he had tied to himself, and Twitter went mental when they spotted it!

Here is a video posted on Youtube by renegadeeng that exposes it!

Another clip posted by jason fallows on Youtube that shows it a bit better

And another look at it

So how do they defend the indefensible, well here is what Yvette had to say about the rope.

And just one look at the #MostHauntedLive on Twitter, and probably about 99% of people have FINALLY realised I was right all along, and that Most Haunted is faked, a spoof, a joke.

Fact is they got caught out tonight, as they have so many times.
But if you accept that the show is faked, and a spoof, you can enjoy it for what it is.
Otherwise stop watching!

I like this man who lived a few doors down from where they filmed, he made his views known in the best way possible!

  1. I always wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but last night showed me what I really didn't want to be true....it's all fake. When Karl goes into the room with the bed/knife, if you watch Stuart you can see him looking over at Karl as if to think "don't mess this up Karl". Those two are thick as thieves and where they go alone, it all kicks off. I knew it was Stuart who pulled the rope because he made such a great deal out of the "fake argument" that was created for added effect. I stopped watching after the rope so don't know what else happened, but they lost a fan tonight and many more besides I feel.

    1. I have been exposing this show for over a decade, but I think the fans and believers finally had enough last night, quite simply even the most hardened of fan could no longer delude themselves, or come up with excuses, the fakery was just too blatant.

And yes Yvette is in on it too!

    2. I googled East Ave house. It's been purchased by 3 guys who make money renting it out saying it's Haunted. Guess what? One of them has the surname BEATTIE. Say no more.

    3. Here you go, here's the ad agency that own the house www.bmbagency.com you do know that everything on MH is all about promoting their own businesses right?

    8. Yeah found all that, I cant find a connection between BMB and Antix though, I am guessing they got the house for free for the weekend in exchange for it being on TV free advertisement etc.

MH already has a shoestring budget since UKTV doesn't really commission any shows, so thats why they done it there and no live audience etc

    9. Hi Jon...
Love your website. You've entertained me for years and I mean that in a positive sense. I've looked at the videos and no way is that a cam cable. However where it says Karl threw the knife, if u look closely it's already on the pillow when they go in the room. Still a load of shite.... and fake... have much evidence over the years. Very sad

    10. I've tried to find a link on the Beattie thing. Bit of a coincidence though isn't it?

    11. Most likely it is a coincidence, an ad agency own the house, Antix made a deal to get the house for free for the show

    12. Isn't there something called the Fraudulent Mediums Act? I cannot recall any notice going out on this show beforehand such as "For Entertainment Purposes Only" like it does on other shows such as the American Ghost Adventures shows. Also, they should send the 3 Ghost Adventures Crew over - at least they inject some personality into their investigations and their history of the places they visit is more interesting than the vigils half the time. Most Haunted is always about screaming people. Why are they still always screaming and running scared after doing so many so-called ghost vigils. They should be used to it by now so they should stop moaning or give up. Why do they ask the ghosts to make a noise and then scream like fools when they hear a noise?! Also, it is always in the dark. I am sure real ghosts can come out in the light can't they? Ok so dark gives the atmosphere. However, fraud is something I cannot stand unless they give a disclaimer first to make people aware it is for Entertainment Purposes Only!

      Delete
    13. Hi, We here at BadPsychics actually got the Fraudulent Mediums Act repealed a while back so that mediums would come under general consumer protection laws.

Most Haunted does NOT feature any mediums since Sky TV actually still own the rights to the format of the old style Most Haunted.

And yes they do use for entertainment only, which does give the game away that the show is a spoof.

      Delete
    3. So... How do you know ghosts don't exist Jon no matter whether the show is fake or not how do you know ghosts are fake it's neither been proven or disproven maybe you should not be so narrow minded.

      Delete
    4. Well said scene-a-picture, I believe that ghost do exist as I have had experiences n my mum n dad have as well, seen or heard, things happen that you can't explain, notice scents of perfume, or tabac a. The presents of a ghostly dog or cat.

    5. The Loch Ness Monster has never been proven or disproven. Does that make it real?
Midget Aliens on Mars have never been proven or disproven. Does that make it real?
A flying monkey with a banana for a head has never been proven or disproven. Does that make it real?
A unicorn singing Elvis songs while riding a unicycle has never been proven or disproven. Does that make it real?

I think I have made my point here.

There is 0% proof of any of those things, there is 0% proof of ghosts, there is 0% proof of God or an afterlife.

Therefore for me to say ghosts do not exist, I am using science as a knowledgebase.

And I can say with utmost confidence and authority, that it is statisticall improbable that ghosts exist.

Just because you believe something, doesn't give it any credibility.

Show me proof and I will believe

      Delete
    6. I agree with you Suzanne Hoskins things do happen that is unexplainable.
Jon you have made 0% of a point, also just because you don't believe how credible does that make you. Which uni did you say you got your science degree from.....
      Don't think you did say

      Delete
    7. Jon, Most Haunted is certainly a fake show made for entertainment rather than reality.......that said I don't think you should be so dismissive of the possibility that some phenomena exist for which science cannot yet explain.
Your statements are quite correct........... if there is currently 0% of something, that in itself doesn't mean it does not exist........... It was only in March of 2013 that scientist are pretty sure that they have discovered that the Higgs Boson does exist...........prior to 2013
scientist only speculated that the Higgs Boson might exist.........and even amongst the scientific community some thought it didn't exist at all.
So the Higgs Boson by scientific concensus seems to exist but prior to 2013 there had been 0 proof that it existed.
Take another example........prior to 1977 there was no knowledge of hydrothermal vents existing........in science there was simply 0% proof that they existed.
So if we use your example If you were writing in 1976 that vents on the bottom of the sea do not exist.........because there was 0% proof of such vents.........you would actually be 100% wrong!
The fallacy here is to believe that today's technology is sufficient to prove the existence or not of certain things..........but the Higgs Boson is a clear reminder that often it is the technology that is waiting to be caught up with nature to provide your proof.
I pretty certain a great many things that we "currently" have zero proof for will be proven to exist in the future........just as hydrothermal vents were.
I thank you for reading my rather rambling reply!

    10. Why don't you argue your points in a slightly more intelligent fashion? I have experienced sightings in my old house in Worthing and so have my family and their friends, which quite frankly scared the pants off them. My apparition (s) took the form of a white or dark mist, varying in size and appearing at any time of the day. It would be seen by all who were in the immediate vicinity, and at one time was witnessed by my cat who was just as surprised at seeing it as we were.

      Delete
    11. Klambo55, Your points are all valid, HOWEVER, before Science discovered the things you stated, they had scientific theories that described them, (please understand what theory means when used in a scientific context.)

So right now there is 0% proof that something might exist, HOWEVER Science will have a theory of how it may exist, and then they design technology that can detect and prove the theory.

Ghosts however come under the same banner as the ridiculous examples I gave, because there is no such theory that they exist, no model to describe their existence, same with the claims of mediums.

And history tells us that in 100% of credible scientific tests, mediums fail 100% of the time, no exceptions, no anomolies, 100% failure.

So will things in the future change? I doubt it, what is more likely is that the definition of such things changes, and that allows for the claims to be proven.
For example, mediumship in its current definition clearly is false, no one can communicate with the dead as described in spiritualism or religion.

HOWEVER lets change the definition of what being dead means, lets say after 50 years we have the technology to upload someones entire memories to a computer, their consciousness etc. Their physical body then dies, yet we can still talk to a replication of them through a computer, suddenly we are talking to the dead.

Same with ghosts, lets say that the ghost of that person now lives in a computer. SO now we use holographic or VR technology to give that person a body, we have now created a "ghost".

The only way these paranormal things will ever come true, is if we change the definition, because right now, it is simple statistically improbable for a ghost to be real, for someone to communicate with the dead, and so on.

Ask yourself this, why hasn't a medium ever channeled a particle physicist, and then answered questions from a living physicist about particle physics? The medium would have no way of cheating, unless they themselves were a particle physicist, and if they were, i promise you they would not be working as a medium would they!

I am sure if real, dead scientists would be lining up to prove their continued existence, they would be providing formulas for their existence, and wanting to help science even from the afterlife.

Instead we have mediums talking to your dead Aunt Dotty, who wants to tell you about the important papers you have in that old biscuit tin, or that you are thinking of redecorating your kitchen.

Can you see how ridiculous that is if you really think about it

      Delete
    12. crystella poupard, Show me the evidence. simple, Anecdotes are evidentially worthless, in fact eye witness testimony is the LOWEST form of evidence in a court of law!

    13. Jon, I take your points but I think you have to remember that although scientist are on the verge of comfirming that the Higgs Bosun exiss, it was only mere decades ago that highly respected scientists Charles Schuchert, Harold Jeffreys didn't believe in continental drift or plate tectonics. Quauntum entanglement had even Einstein perplexed, calling it "spooky action at a distance" It was only decades ago that Black holes were considered strictly science fiction, and then you have the extremely wierd parallel univerese theory put forward by Hugh Everett ............... respected physcists Michio Kaku. & Lawrence M. Krauss are amongst a growing number of scientist who actually believe that paralell universes do in fact exist..........once again something a few years ago considered as wacky science fiction today is taken very seriously by some of the best scientific minds in the world today.
To sum up this part of my argument, what I am saying is that whilst we have made huge strides in some areas of science...........in other areas scientific knowlege is in its infancy............. just as in the past there are certain to be new scientifc discoveries in the next 1,000 years that we currently have no knowledge of or even formulated any theories of there existence,
There are even scientists like Archie Roy ( Professor Emitruis of Astronomy) and David Fontana Professor of Transpersonal Psychology at Liverpool University and Distinquished visiting Fellow at Cardiff University and Bruce Greyson Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia who firmly believe that the mind can exist seperately from the body.
I reccommend that you read some of their books and writings on the subject which are highly fascinating to read whether you are believer or not.

As for mediums, well I do agree with you on many of the points you make and I think most so called mediums give serious investigations into ghostly phenomena a bad name........... but I say don't throw away the baby with the bath water........I too have severe doubts about mediumship or people talking to "dead people".........but I am pretty convinced the ghost phenomena itself is real (I've had a few personal experiences as have my mother........ but not on any ghost hunting ventures........these very strange experiences come completely unexpected and out of the blue).
I also firmly believe that one day in the distant future there will even be scientific proof that ghosts exist.................. we are not there yet though!
Again I thank for reading my rambling post!

      Delete
    14. I understand what you are saying, but look this is how science works, first a hypothesis is presented, then a theory using real science is put forward, then the experiments are done to proof it. And that is science.

The likes of Archie Roy, and David Fontana are quacks. They do not have any scientific theories, they just talk, and sell books, and are not credible.
They do not follow the scientific method.

If memory is right Archie Roy believes in mediums! He got conned himself by Gordon Smith I believe (may be a different medium)

Point is what he BELIEVES is worthless, only what can be proven, or even what is presented using real science, and a theory.

Ghosts under their current definition simply do not exist, this is a statistical improbability, Now if someone comes along with a scientific theory to explain their existence, then we can start to examine it and get evidence.

But right now, Ghosts (under the definition used in religion or spiritualism) do not exist, it is impossible, as is communication with the dead and so on.

I don't deny either your own experiences, but in a court of law, eye witness testimony is the weakest form of evidence! And people have been hung for it! But that is a different discussion.

I happen to believe that we have had science capable of proving mediumship for over a century, yet 100 failure rate in CREDIBLE scientific tests.

And ghosts, well until we get an actual solid definition of what a ghost is (no one can agree), then its pointless anyway.

Hell you could speak to 3 people right at the top of the SNU, and they all believe in different things, some believe mediums can channel the dead, another doesn't, one believes in physical mediumship, another doesn't.

Its all a con, that is what the evidence shows, and until REAL CREDIBLE scientists can show me otherwise, it is pointless even talking about it. Same goes with alien midgets on Mars, a flying Loch Ness Monster, or Spaghetti Monsters! There exists 0% proof, and NO scientific theories of any of them INCLUDING ghosts!

So in my eyes only a fool would believe.

      Delete
    15. You are absolutely correct when you say that we don't yet have a solid definition of what a ghost is but I disagree with you about the discussion is a pointless one, as it is only through debate and discussion do ideas and views move forward.
I generally refer the "ghost phenomena"............... I don't tend to label them "dead people" because as you say, they may not be "dead peope" at all.
Bruce Greyson Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia supports the idea that ghostly phenomena could well be linked to Quantum Physics.
This indeed is a view that I came to some years ago and totally independent of any books on the subject of a possible link of ghostly experiences to quantum physics.
On Anthony Peaks's fascinating book on the subject Professor Bruce Greyson writes:

" does all this sound like science fiction or like religious babble? Peake argues persuasively that all of this is not only compatable with contemporary science, but indeed prescribed by it. You will read in this book about Shrodinger's cat-in a box thought experiment , about the Copenhagen and Many World's Interpretation of quantum physics, about Minkowski time-liners, and about the "quantum zero effect".From these concepts accepted by most for the past century,Peak shows how the physical world around you is completely dependent on your perception of it. If your consciuosness ceasd to exist, so would your universe along with any record of its existence . Thus this understanding of quantum physics demands that you never die.........
Peake's explanation of your immortality is the most innovative and provocative argument I hsve seen - Prof Bruce Greyson MD.

      I
Go visit any bar or university campus and if were to ask if anyone has personally seen or know of any family or friend who has made mention of a sighting of spaghetti monsters or loch ness monsters or alien midgets you are unlikely to get many people who say yes they have (unless they are extremely high or dunk at the time)
If you were then to ask if anyone has personal experience of alien abductions or know of any friend or familywho has made mention of an alien abduction experience, then you would likley get a few that say yes.
If you were to ask the same bar 'campus of university students, teachers and professors if anyone has had personal expeience of "ghost phenomena" then Its almost certain that people who say yes they have or know of someone who has, will make up by far the largest group..........

Now as you would quite rigtly are likely to point out........numbers do not constitute proof........ that said I think the numbers do deserve serious scientific attention amd proper research, and that is in part why there is so little concrete "proof" of ghost phenomena........... scientists are putting money and resourses into more immeadiate and pressing research like medical drugs or environmental science or even the hunt for the Higgs Bosun.............
Ghiostly phenomena is not easy to study, and there hasn't been many resources to seriously attempt to study any phenomena........and like I say I would not include mediumship in description of ghostly phenomena...........
Unfortunately that means we have a vaccum of tv entertainment shows and ghost investigation shows like Most Haunted that give any serious resarch or thought on the subject a bad name.
Like I said before we may one day in the future get a breakthrough in physicts that may well make "ghost phenomena" as normal as dark matter or black holes......ie still very mysterious and wierd but yet accepted as fact that they exist.
Many highly intelligent people around the world strongly believe in the existence of ghost phenomena..........so in my eyes only fools would be too dismissive of the subject matter.
      Again thanks for reading!

    16. Hi
Clearly you have read a lot of books, but remember the ONLY people qualified to talk about Quantum Physics, are Quantum Physicists. Like many sciences woos jump on anything they think can support their wild claims, without actually doing any of the hard work.

Also you analogy about going to a campus bar is a bit off.
Just because something is popular or seen by a lot, does not make it any more real, in fact you can blame TV and movies for both Alien and Ghostly sightings! IN fact I was listening to Bill Nye this morning, and he said "Humans create ghosts to explain things they do not understand"

And I suggest this, go to that campus bar, no wait, get EVERY single student IN THE WORLD! Line them up side by side, however many millions and millions of them, and get them all to look out at the moon when it is low on the horizon, and every single one of them will tell you that the moon is larger than normal, and every single one of them will be wrong! Yep that is called the moon illusion.
Understood by science too! And everyone would be wrong!

So yeah numbers really do not mean anything. Billions of people believe that a man ascended to heaven on a winged horse, and that is the fastest growing religion on the planet!

And yes intelligent people do believe in ghosts, but as Penn Jillette I think once said, the smarter someone thinks they are, the easier they are to fool!

That is why "belief" is meaningless, only facts matter, and science really is just two things, Physics and Stamp collecting!

    17. “Compatibility of Contemporary Physical Theory With Personality Survival,”
“Strong doubts about personality survival based solely on the belief that postmortem survival is incompatible with the laws of physics are unfounded.”- Henry Strapp Quantum Physicist.

Strapp also says on the quantum explanation of how the mind and brain can be separate or different, yet connected by the laws of physics:
“is a welcome revelation,” “It solves a problem that has plagued both science and philosophy for centuries—the imagined science-mandated need either to equate mind with brain, or to make the brain dynamically independent of the mind.” (Henry Strapp)

In my view the conscious brain does not act according to classical physics. It doesn’t even act according to conventional quantum mechanics. It acts according to a theory we don’t yet have. This is being a bit big-headed, but I think it’s a little bit like William Harvey’s discovery of the circulation of blood. He worked out that it had to circulate, but the veins and arteries just peter out, so how could the blood get through from one to the other? And he said, “Well, it must be tiny little tubes there, and we can’t see them, but they must be there.” Nobody believed it for some time. So I’m still hoping to find something like that—some structure that preserves coherence, because I believe it ought to be there. - Sir Roger Penrose Mathmatical Physicist

I think these 2 gentlemen are well qualified to talk about Quantum Physics are they not.......... whether you agree with them or not neither gentlemen could be described as "quacks" or "fools".
Both these gentleman's intellects absolutely dwarfs yours or mine Jon!

      Delete
    18. Yes i agree these people are qualified to talk about it. However they are talking HYPOTHESIS and NOT Scientific theory.

And for you or me to just quote them, is pointless since neither of us understand Quantum Physics.

So best we leave it to these people to argue, and when someone actually comes up with a theory to explain the existence of ghosts then we can talk again, until then, I can say with utmost authority that ghosts do not exist, the Loch Ness Monster does not exist, Midget Aliens on Mars do not exist, the moon is NOT really larger when low on the horizon. And I would have all of science to back me up.

Point is Most Haunted is faked, always has been, and any discussion of ghosts is a bit out of point for this page I think.

Jon looks like we will have to agree to disagree on this issue, perhaps the only thing that might persuade you to move on the position, you yourself someday have a very wierd out of the ordinary experience that myself and a fair number of others commentating on your blog have had.
Whilst I suspect even a very strange, not easily explained personal experience, probably won't make you a believer, it might make you budge just a tiny bit towards being a liitle bit more open to the idea than you currently are.

I know you are a fan of wrestling so I'll leave you with this from a Fox interview last year
with the late "Rowdy" Roddy Piper:

FOX: "Are the spirits of the wrestlers still in your home?"

Piper::" Without a doubt. Adrian Adonis. His real name is Keith Franke. He thought of me like a brother. He was an orphan. When we were 22 years old, we were tag team partners called the Twenty-Twos. One day I was going crazy, and he said, “You know, Pipes, you’ve got to buy a house for your family." I was in Poughkeepsie and I was really having a tough day, and I never had a house of my own. He saved my house from burning down (after his death). You see, when I saw him (as a ghost), I saw him like when he was 22."

If at any point during such a show that anyone is in any real danger, the show would be taken off air instantly, so much chance of lawsuits, litigation and so on.

The scene with Stuart would have been pre-planned and even cleared with health and safety before being performed.

So they may not fake things, but their lack of knowledge of simple to understand phenomena, means they lack any credibility

There are many people who have lived in there own haunted homes, pub's, hotels, old mansions, old hospitals, you name it there are reports all around the world of haunted places n real people who have been through these experiences. Stop trying to ruin it for those who do believe n enjoy watching Most Haunted. I also watch Ghost Adventures n Ghosts Attack, Ghost Stories, Paranormal Witness all of them. Some things may of be helped along, but most of the unexplained goings on are real n scary and how do u explain the burn marks on both Karl n Stuarts arms n things being thrown in full view by no one else, I will always watch anything to do with the paranormal. I do Believe in spirits and ghosts n hauntings.

  31. I went off most haunted years ago when I started to realise that every time Karl and Stuart were left alone that they were "attacked". If you believed most haunted EVERY ghost they encounter is evil and only wants to harm Karl or Stuart, no one else ever gets attacked or injured. But for some reason I just wanted to see this latest live show probably to see if anything had changed ,but nope all is the same. They still think everyone believes their bad acting, their cons and tricks.I must admit that "let's put this knife in this box and place it in front of a camera and let's see if anything happens" was one of the funniest (and most predictable) things I've seen on most haunted. I have one suggestion for them though, any money they make on this series I would put to good use and get Karl and Stuart some more acting classes.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Karl panicked when Yvette insisted that they find the knife before continuing. She mustn't have known about the scam so he pretended that he needed to ask the producer for guidance.

Oh and when I watched it last night it seemed that the cameraman was told by Karl to focus on the floor just before they entered the room and 'found' the knife. Not certain and can't be bothered to check.

It sickens me that we're giving them so much publicity. The believers will watch the next live show as normal and the non-believers will watch it too so they can point out all the lies.

When Karl "got pulled up the stairs" why on earth did ALL of them have to go charging up there. There is one saving grace, at least they have got rid of all the other screaming women.

  37. When there are shots of the hub, or the place where part of the group are huddled around monitors, the screens are sometimes blurred. This is proof that some of it is pre-recorded as to blur the screens would mean editing the footage.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Of course some of it is pre-recorded, they have always done it that way.
Mary Loves Dick is the most blatant example, as "live" it was presented in "night vision" yet it was filmed during the day in normal vision, they just added the green filter later, they even rehersed handing over from David Bull to them even though it was a pre--record.

This was years and years ago, and I revealed it on here, only now are people finally catching up

      Delete
    2. Have you seen them pre record with your own eyes, what evidence have you or is thismore bullshit from you mr no it all, you have asked people on here for proof now you show proof, I think you just dont like the show so you are just trying to get others to not like it by making things up about it without providing proof which you dont have as for carl lifting the table with his knees are you a twat, how can he be sitting on one side of the table and the whole table magically lift BOTH SIDES, any half wit like yourself would know if you lift one side of a table only that side would lift NOT THE WHOLE TABLE.

      Delete
    3. Yes 100%, there is 100% evidence they have pre-recorded live segments, added a green filter and passed it off as live, they have even REHERSED with the recorded footage!

  39. While i do accept that many (if not all) of the 'events' in the show were faked, there seems to be a bit of confusion over the knife incident. The article shows an image supposedly revealing the knife was hidden up Karl's sleeve during the seance, yet then goes on to show a video of him allegedly pulling the knife from his trousers a few moments later. So which was it? Isn't it more likely he was actually pulling the knife from his sleeve, or are we in danger of seeing 'what we want to see'?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It doesn't really matter, everyone can see clearly on the video he throws the knife, as he has thrown things in pretty much every episode ever!

      Delete
    2. Sort of proving the point i was making about seeing what we want to see. The video does not clearly show him throwing the knife. It shows actions that could be seen as consistent with removing something from a sleeve/pocket and then throwing, but from the camera angle you cannot see the knife or his hands (unless there's another clearer clip). However, my original comment was about the article itself being confusing over its report of the event(s)

      Delete
    3. Yep have to agree full heartidly with Paul Cook on this one, I''ve viewed the footage several of the clip Jon links to, and I was quite keen to see obvious faker Karl get caught hands down again "clearly throw the knife"........... at first I thought I must have been concentrating on the wrong part of the clip as I couldn't "clearly "see Karl "throwing the knife", I played the clip over and over again to make sure I hadn't missed out on Karl's "clear" knife throwing action.........alas could not match Jon's description with the actual clip.........now this could be because for some tecxhnical reason the available linked clip isn't the one that Jon actually intended to use.....or perhaps Jon's perceptions of what he clearly sees doesn't "clearly translate".
Again thanks Paul, you saved me from booking an panicked early eye test!

They're businessman, they have had 15 odd years to hone their craft. They know how to appease the gullible. They just buggered it up on Saturday because they forgot about the power of social media. People who still believe this are highly gullible, and that's coming from a believer.

    5. Jon Donnis - Please do not make personal comments about my child or parenting skills, you do not have the right or judgement to do so. Your motives for your blog is clear, I was just making a point that your statement about how Yvette smells was childish and immature to say the least. If people want to support you that's their prerogative, but please do not stoop to personal insults. Unknown - I am disappointing by the events that took please on Halloween, but like you stated yourself, I am a believer too, I'm just looking for evidence the same as any other rational person, but calling me gullible is not really accurate, I'm trying to be open and allow the makers of Most Haunted the right to reply. If it's fake, that's fine, I would just rather it was admitted openly instead of trying to dupe people who actually have a genuine belief in the paranormal.

  46. I would love to have heard the discussion going on regarding the twitter reaction, and to know how the show can excuse the massive discrepancy between the overwhelmingly sceptical reality and the either supportive or amusingly ridiculous tweets actually being read out on air - who made that decision, despite knowing that so many viewers could see the true reaction unfolding? The production team was also incredibly naive to set up such transparency, via the ongoing live feeds from cameras within the house, and still think they could get away with such ham-fisted fakery. I thought Rylan, at least, looked increasingly uncomfortable about his involvement in the programme as it descended ever more blatantly into farce.

Due to the live pictures on most haunted on Halloween live show there was questions that could be asked e.g. why the rope on Karl and how was it so easy to knock a clock over.
I have saw comments from believers calling people who has wrote their observations in a respectful way haters.
I am not a hater I am just a person who weighs pros and the cons of situations and as a person who watches most haunted my own conclusions is more cons than pros.
I saw on live feed a crew member just nudge the clock and it nearly fell right over, which appeared that light a gust of wind would have knocked it over and I saw the rope attached to Karl.
To give most haunted more credibility bring back a real psychic or clairvoyant who knows what they are doing as I agree there is someshing there but I think that evil spirit was on holiday on Halloween

    1. I agree something did happen with that poor family an residents who suffered the stress of whatever happened, but I don't think most of the people who is commenting about the fakery is disputing that. What they are disputing is the happenings on 31/10/15 and if they could keep to this everyone is entitled to debate about it, however I don't think anyone has the right to comment on what happened many years ago unless they were there at that time. Much respect to you East Drive.

  58. I take it everyone has now seen the new video Karl has posted, explaining the fakery. Points to ask.

1)Why is the cable a completely different thickness,
    2) Where is this camera you needed the cable for?
    3) Why was you in a brace position at the top of the stairs?
    4) Why was you at the top of the stairs 3 steps down anyway?
    5) Why is there an electric extension cable with a loop in it under the bed?
    6) Why does Stuart have to follow you everywhere?
    7) Why was there no locked off camera's upstairs?
    8) Why did you decide to put one of your 3 camera's in a coal bunker when you only had 3 camera's?
    9) Why did you claim that you were pulled by the neck when it's obvious you were pulled by the waist?
    10) Why can i see a cable the whole way around your waist?
    11) Why was there a cable looped underneath the clock?
    12) Why did one of your team move the clock for no reason?
    13) Why did you go half way up the stairs to check the clock, then whisper in to your mic,
    14) Why did Stuart have no blood over his head even though you said he was bleeding?
    15) Why did the camera point over towards the blinds for no reason just as the light shade started moving?
    16) Why did you decide to look at the door sneakily seconds before you ran for it?
    17) Why was there i knife shaped object clearly shown up your sleeve at the seance table?
    18) Why did you pull something from your sleeve and thrown it in the direction of the bed?
    19) Why did you purposely show the box for the knife to go in?
    20) Why will you not release the footage of the camera pointed at the box?
    21) Why was a camera pointing at this box when it could have been upstairs?
    22) Why have you insisted on blocking anyone that questions your actions?
    23) Why has it taken 3 days to post a debunk?
    24) Why was there no immediate explanation for these questions?
    25) Why are skeptics being branded as trolls for asking civilized questions?
    26) Why....

you know what, i could go on and on, none of these things have been answered and i vary much doubt they will. One things for certain though, the MH faithful (drones) will continue to attack, name call, block and lie there way through it. Wake up people, for Christs sake.

    3. Mark I've seen Karl's rope rebuttal, and I wasn't too suprised to see that comments were disabled........this seems usual form for Beatie & wife.
That said, I think Karl gave a fairly convincing presentation........... that is not to say that I was persuaded by Karl that the incident wasn't staged in some way.
It's interesting that Karl is more interested in trying to show that the "rope" was not a rope but a camera cable rather than the "ghost attack".
Think about it for second, If this was a genuine footage and not staged or faked in anyway......and Karl & Yvette knew this to be the case (i.e a genuine ghost attack) then this surely rates as one of the most stunning cases of true ghost phenomena, even more so than the famous Enfield Poltergiest case because we have actual video footage of a ghost attack.
The fact that even Karl or Yvette don't seem that excited about capturing a "genuine" ghost attack on film....... . they have just hit the motherlode, the ultimate prize for anyone that takes the phenomena seriously.
So maybe Karl is truthful about the cable............but his demeanor in this video isn't of someone who knows they just caught themselves on film being dragged backwards by a ghost!

    4. Yeah, I don't think he's right in the slightest. It all gets blown out when he presents an entirely different sized cable for the demo. It was an power extention cable with a loop in it as was clearly seen in the photo presented the other day. Proving the colour of the cable is irrelevant.

    5. Similarly - Almost at the kick-off Stuart reports he's hearing a girl's cry in one room but Yvette flounces onwards, no interest at all. (Everyone seemed tense with Stu from the start, treating him like a liability to be discounted). But there's a lot of this in what they do now, a lack of interest when anything is reported. It's as if they can't be bothered to conceal their fraudulence anymore. Long-term fakers may well have cause to become jaded, but expecting the viewer not to be insulted by this careless contempt, is a lot to ask.

I've watched MH all its screen life. I'd say I was fascinated by it on a psychological level, to sound fancy. But years ago it was far more because I just wanted to see a ghost. Anyway, far too many screen hours with MH have convinced me that Yvette is a brazen and halfway decent actor and Karl, as an actor, is just woeful. Then, the other night, as he stormed out that house suffering for the cause of paranormal enquiry but looking like a diva in high dudgeon over his own ineptitude, for the first time, this uncynical viewer felt a bit disgusted by it all.

I too don't understand why there were no cameras upstairs (why not show the footage from the "camera" Karl had at the top of the stairs?? Also, when they were in the bedroom and heard a noise, the cameraman went into the further bedroom, giving Karl a chance to go into the middle one first, which made no sense, he would have gone into the nearest room first, but allowed Karl to go in and do his open handed "what, what, I don't see anything.... 1. I think if you want to believe you really shouldn't watch these types of shows, since they are designated spoofs by OFCOM. Meaning that even if they did see anything real, the controls and techniques used are so terrible that it would instantly be dismissed.

If you want to really believe, then you should watch science programs, as the only people who will ever prove the existence of an afterlife of paranormal will be scientists and not plumbers, actors, and fake samurai's

    2. Hi Jon, I just wanted to touch on upon your point. Science is only one way of explaining and understanding the world, the universe is far more complicated and mysterious than only being understood by one draft of reasoning. Don't get me wrong, I like science, especially the field of Quantum Physics, but to understand the universe as a whole you need more than one piece to complete the whole puzzle and science is just one part of the larger picture. Besides, I think if we were given actual proof of life after death, would people then value their lives in the same way. Knowledge gives us understanding, but maybe some things are meant to be left unexplained. What's life without a little mystery.

    3. I want to believe, I hate to think this is the end of life, and the day something is caught on camera/tape I will be thrilled, it doesn't mean I can't enjoy watching MH get more extreme over the years making fools of themselves in trying to prove they are professional ghost hunters!! It's entertaining watching them trying to justify what has obviously been debunked 😂

      Delete
    4. @ Rob Banks, your viewpoint is similar to my own as you can see from some of my posts above. I too think the Quatum Theory may hold the key to this phenomena.
Whilst human intelligence has advance by leaps and bounds in the past 100 years or so, its generally accepted by scientists that there is far more that we don't know than we do know.
If there existed a 10,000 page book of total knowledge, we humans on this tiny blue speck of rock may have only reached halfway down the first page!
Life does not contain "a liitle" mystery............it contains mostly mystery............ it's just that most people live there lives in a very small microcosm........... never bothering to even look up at the night sky and marvel at nature's magnificence and mystery!

      Delete
    5. Hi Klambo, when I said 'a little mystery' I was merely generalising, but you're absolutely right. I quite often stare up into the night sky and allow myself to be absorbed by the wonder of it all.The universe is such a fascinating place and like you said, we are still only at the very beginning of understanding. On the subject of Quantum Theory, I just find the whole subject completely relatable. I've had my own theories and ideas for many years, especially the concept of multiple universes and how our own universe and other universes are formed and created and it's been very interesting to see Quantum Theorists being to explore and find evidence to support this theory. The most recent season of BBC Horizon had quite a few episode on this subject which I would highly recommend a watch if you get the chance.

  64. Our own favourite moment was in EVP when the entity tries to distance itself from the shenanigans. Am I Karl Antony? "No!" "No!" says the entity firmly. At which response there must have been many of us very keen to hear more from the poltergeist's own perspective but Yvette couldn't finish EVP quick enough.  You don't disagree with Yvette. I feel for that entity, trying to pipe up & get its real name on telly.

Perhaps it also wanted to know why, come the Live, they'd taken to vilifying it as "paedophile". A child-killer. Why this upgrade in infamy from the usual piece of "filth" and "evil".

You'd think demonologists would pay a little attention to the case-file but in the hysterical mêlée of its crimes, "demonologist" Fred even had the poltergeist *killing* the daughter.

Accounts of the poltergeist in its heyday have it chucking eggs about and manifesting sweet (not foul) flowerlike odours. But whatever the achievements of the poltergeist they're not tethered factually, as a matter of record, to any historical personnage at all. It's fiction, the execution of a monk for abducting a woman. During the Civil War, yes, a Pontefract priest would be hanged for treason. It takes only a few minutes' reading to get this straight. But when there's no warrant even for the sexually miscreant monk, their screaming obscenities at an imaginary paedophile made for an odd piece of psychodrama.

We used to love laughing at MH. But there's something unfunny about it nowadays. They and their antics manage to appear both cynical and unhinged.

  66. In 1981 Colin Wilson devoted a well-researched chapter to the Pontefract house in 'Poltergeist - A Study in Destructive Haunting', a book published some 10 years after the alleged outbreak and most florid of activity there. Wilson found the case so fascinating he says the phenomena challenged his own theories as to the type of agency or energy at work in disruptions known as poltergeist. It was my impression, reading the chapter, that the original events were fairly well-attested in the immediate neighborhood where people knew of the family's experiences in the house, but other than a few local headlines, publicity was never really sought by that family. It's only now, 45 years later, with the purchase of the house by the maker of a low-budget film... about the house, that the superlatives began to fly. 'The most violent poltergeist in the world.' Most Haunted stretch some exiguous scraps of footage into two episodes & within a couple of weeks of transmission are claiming they've made it "the most famous haunted house in the world". The family in question appear to want nothing to do with this current exploitation  - and good for them. So, whatever our various reactions to the validity or nature of poltergeists, can this house's history really be described as a hoax?

What is astonishing is how the 'Black Monk of Pontefract' bears no scrutiny whatsoever. Wilson trawled through the Pontefract Library and found nothing, to warrant an idle story of the 1970s. If we look at how rapidly this legend has been got up and running, it ably illustrates the commercial lure of modern ghost tourism. If there ain't no ghost, invent one.

Colin Wilson's account of the original poltergeist experience in that house is genuinely interesting. And someone at MHL has read it - Saturday's choreographed pranks made that obvious. Yes they know the 'Monk' is fiction and then add so much more lurid fiction to make their usual, evil adversary. There's Yvette in a council-house gasping over and over how it's so "evil" - you feel she should either open a dictionary or acquaint herself with some of the true evil travailed by her fellow man because it's nothing to stand there cackling over like some Halloween cartoon marshmallows.

For some time now, with these people, it's like being subjected to parts of their subconscious not immediately recognisable as entertainment. Perhaps there's times when they put the light out at night and wonder if claiming to be stalked by the devil and his demonic minions week in week out is, after all, worth the money. Some of them are looking brain-fried.

  73. I was introduced to MH about 2 years ago by my Mrs, who loved the show and was a believer in it and was more than open to 'mediums' like 6th Sense 'star', Colin Fry. When I first watched it, I totally refused to believe anything about MH or Mr Fry.
Sadly, after a while of listening to Derek Acorah, David Wells getting these astonishing facts correct about places that they knew nothing about supposedly and then being backed up by a 'credible' historian like Richard Felix, I started to have a slight change of opinion. Maybe because I was tired?.....
As a result of this, I then started to watch Colin Fry in the morning on the 6th Sense and even though it went against everything that I had previously thought about people like him and Acorah- again, I started to believe in them....just like my wife did and she wanted me to.

I then started doing research on both programmes and the 'mediums' mentioned above. it was then I came to a conclusion....

Both myself and my wife had recently suffered bereavements with close family and we WANTED to believe. We were both at nearly our lowest ebb and we were both clutching at straws, refusing to believe that our close loved ones were truly gone, and accept it.

MH just 'flicked a switch' in my usual 'cynical' brain (I am a scientist with a BSc in Biology), that started me to open up to the possibility of mediums, despite me thinking that they were bollocks throughout my entire life. It did so because I was vulnerable.

Everybody must now know that Most Haunted is just a bag of shite. Utter bollocks, massaging that total and utter prick, Karl Beattie's ridiculously inflated ego. Even when he got 'possessed' in a repeat I saw recently, Yvette took no notice of him and he was pretty much ignored by everybody else on set..... But MH isn't my main beef....Its just pitiful shit.... The people who grind my gears are the wankers like Acorah, Wells, Fry and Tony Stockwell...

These tosspots prey on people who are in a world of pain, they make these poor sods believe that they can still contact the people that they no doubt are still grieving. They are the lowest of the low with their 'cold reading' tactics, to make people who are absolutely torn to emotional shreds think that they are talking to their recently deceased son, daughter or mother. Not only do they falsely raise these poor emotional, vulnerable people's hopes, but they also charge money for doing it! Fry ( before he kicked the bucket- no doubt he foresaw that happening and is probably still in regular conversation with Acorah and Stockwell), was immensely well off. Acorah made millions during arena and big venue shows, picking on the sad and vulnerable and basically walking off stage laughing at the poor sods he had just mugged.

Karl Beattie and his lying Mrs gave a couple of these charlatans a platform which inevitably led to them all making more money., which is essentially what this is all about.

I'm gutted something that I correctly said was utter shite for years, was in my emotional eyes, so called 'proven' to be true. I just missed my dead family..... Just like every other poor bastard who are mugged by these wanky highwaymen. I'm just glad I never parted with any money to see them.

I feel deeply ashamed that I believed though, albeit for a few weeks. Shame on me.

However do NOT feel shame, never ever feel shame for being conned, for you were the victim, these shows are made to take advantage of the vunerable, and that is not your fault and something you should never feel ashamed of.

The most important thing is that you realise the truth now, and will never give another penny to these frauds again.

We all go through hard times, we make mistakes, we do and say dumb things, but how we come out the other side that is what is important, to learn from our mistakes, that is what is important, and to try our best to stop other people making the same mistakes, that is what is important.

    1. It is Donnis not Dennis, but no worries about that.

I am not ignorant, and I understand how science works. First a hypothesis is dreamed up, then it is researched, and if positive results come about a "Theory" is put forward (Please understand the meaning of the scientific word Theory as opposed to the laymans meaning), that theory is peer reviewed, replicated and so on, it then becomes widely accepted and written in the science books.

Did you know the ONLY thing that debunks science, if more science!

Now on to what I assume you were alluding too.
      Ghosts! Mediums and so on.
Did you know there has been over 150 years of real scientific study on both of those things and in all that time, there is zero % evidence of the existence of ghosts, and zero % evidence with regards to the claims of mediums etc.

Will this change in the future? Maybe, maybe not. I think what is more likely is that the definition of such things will change, as that is the only way in my opinion we will ever be able to talk to the dead.

A few years ago I wrote an article about this very thing, you should take a read and let me know what you think.
